MAC Pro Longwear Lipstain Marker Review

How-do-you-do, young lady. How was the residual of your Monday? Downright spectacular, I hope. 🙂

Mine was aw-ite, I guess, with the exception of the weather. The pelting is dorsum in a big fashion this week, and night, scary pelting clouds are parked overhead. One of them HAS to take a silver lining, though, and I'm determined to detect it. I thought information technology might exist somewhere hiding among the coral lippies of MAC'south Pro Longwear Lipstain line from the MAC Art Supplies collection, so today I took a shut wait.

Nosotros talked nearly 'em last week, only I nonetheless had a couple more shades to show y'all — Tomorrow's Coral (a reddish coral) and Full of Flare (an orangey coral).

Tomorrow's Coral

Full of Flare

The last 2 turned out to be my favorites of the line! Before these, I felt about of the blood-red and brown Lipstains looked too much alike, but these stand up out. I'm fifty-fifty drooling over the prospects of layering them beneath a reddish coral gloss similar MAC Liglass in Lychee Luxe. I get the feeling that's gonna exist the hawtness!

Today I as well wanted to follow upwards and address some of your questions from the outset Longwear post. Here's one from reader Rae:

Aside from being gorgeous, how exercise these clothing? — Rae

Hi Rae,

I get about two hours of rich color intensity before the colour starts fading. Even after it fades, my lips still remain stained.

Ane day last week I'd put on A Archetype (a dark ruddy) at five in the afternoon. Iii hours subsequently, after a workout, the color was however holding strong, even after I'd chugged a ton of h2o from my water canteen.

Subsequently dinner and a shower, my lips still had colour when the clock struck 9:30, and when I finally striking the haaay at 11, in that location was still some reddish hanging around.

All in all, that'due south virtually six hours of pretty decent color.

The side by side question's from reader Makeupmorsels who asked…

These lipstains look amazing. What exercise you think of them compared to Cover Daughter Lipstains? — Makeupmorsels

Hi Makeupmorsels,

I've tried both, and I prefer these because the colour applies evenly. The CoverGirl ones tend to eolith color unevenly on my lips, so the outer edges stop up looking darker.

BittersweetKindaNew wondered…

Did yous accept just [the Lipstains] on your lips [in the swatches], or did you accept a clear gloss on elevation? — BittersweetKindaNew

Hey BittersweetKindaNew,

In all of the Lipstain pics I merely used the Lipstain — no clear gloss. That glossy look lasts about 10-15 minutes, as well, and every bit the stain dries down it looks more than semi-matte.

Reader Meghan asked…

I already ain Benefit Posietint and pretty much have a total bottle of it. Do you think it's worth getting Stylesetter, or do you think it's as well like to Posietint? — Meghan

Hello Meghan,

That's a good question. I also have Posietint, but I remember they're both very different colors. Stylesetter looks brighter and similar a hotter pink to me. Posietint looks similar a paler pink with a little touch of coral, and here's something else to consider: Stylesetter's awfully easy to utilise, and the pen's built for easy travel (vs. Posietint'south bottle).

And Sylvie wanted to know…

Hi Karen. Does this make your lips feel tight? — Sylvie

Heya Sylvie,

There's a bit of tightness, simply it's not painful and doesn't really get on my nerves. What I've washed is prep my lips with a moisturizing lip lotion before and after use, and that's sorta starting time the feeling.

Reader Catherine wondered…

Do you call back [the Lipstains] would await ok on dry, flaky lips? Mine have been even more flaky than usual lately, and lip stains don't play nice with flakies. — Catherine

Hi Catherine,

Well, y'all might want to wait for your crease to recover first because fifty-fifty though these by and large distribute pigment evenly, I go the sense they would pool in flaky areas.

And and then Cody asked…

Did you find they faded naturally and evenly, or did they settle into lines as they faded? — Cody

'Sup Cody,

On me the stains fade naturally and evenly, merely some of the darker browns and reds did leave darker traces along the lip line. It'southward non hella BAM! obvious, though, and doesn't look freaky or weird.

I hope this closer await at these MAC Pro Longwear Lipstains helps. Let me know, and please mail service any more questions you lot have about them in the comments. 🙂

Your friendly neighborhood dazzler addict,

Karen

P.Southward. Well, hallo, Miss Coco! Word'due south coming through from the folks at Chanel that a pretty keen gold and blackness 4-piece drove chosen Noir Et Or is en route to us presently.
